Getting Started

I’m assuming you arrived here because you want to spend less on energy, or reduce your carbon emissions – or, maybe both?

This is easy to do, and does not have to be expensive.

If you choose your renewable energy projects carefully, it will cost little money, and save a lot of money on energy bills.   It will also save many tons of CO2 emissions.  The idea is to make sure that the projects you choose are the ones that will give you best return for the time, effort and money that you put into them.

This is not rocket science – what you want to do is:

  1. Survey the lists of projects and ideas for saving energy at the link just below.
Make a list of the ones that might work for you.

How to find good candidate projects ....

  2. Have a go at evaluating each project.
        Can you do the project?
Will it work well in your situation?
        What will it cost?
How much energy will it save?
How much money will it save?
How much greenhouse gas will it save?

        How to evaluate projects ...

  3. Do the projects that make the most sense and save the most.

A little advice on doing the projects ...
