A Low Head Homemade Waterwheel Generator

This is a very nice project from Adam to make a waterwheel mostly from commonly available parts.

The waterwheel runners are made from cut up drums, and the sides from resin coated plywood. It is designed to operate efficiently with a small head. The generator is an ECM motor. The race is cast concrete for a very stable base.
