Solar Heated Shop Using Vinyl Curtain for Glazing

This shows another variation from Scott that uses an external Vinyl curtain in conjunction with an existing garage door in order to provide solar light and heat during the day, and good insulation (via the garage door) at night.

Scott's Description:

As far as a frugal idea goes, I have one for you. Cheaper than the sliding glass doors, maybe not as efficient, but I use it to warm up my garage. I had a tent company sew a giant clear vinyl curtain to cover my garage door. Put a zipper on both sides, and can roll it up when not needed.

Cost me $200 total.

Works good as my garage faces south.
